Mr. Shrikant Deodhar, is Finance Controller at OIJIF-MC. He has over 24 years of experience in the field of Finance, Accounts and Operations.
Before joining OIJIF-MC he has worked with Kotak Mahindra Group for over 21 years in Corporate Finance, Life Insurance Operations and Private Equity functions. He has a rich experience of almost a decade in Private Equity fund accounts and finance functions. He has successfully handled a full cycle of venture capital funds in the above areas.
Shrikant holds a Bachelor Degree of Commerce, has a Fellow Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is a member of Insurance Institute of India.
Mr. Vishal Verma is Director Investments with OIJIF-MC and has been with the Fund since 2012. He has more than 16 years of experience including 12 years on the buy side in private equity funds.
Before joining OIJIF-MC, he worked with ICICI Emerging India Fund, a private equity fund focused on investing in small and medium corporates. At ICICI, he was responsible for origination, analysis, investment and monitoring. He was involved in the SohanLal Commodity Management transaction at ICICI before moving to OIJIF-MC. Prior to working with ICICI Emerging India Fund, Vishal worked as an Investment Banking professional with the SME investment banking division of ICICI Bank. Vishal is keenly involved in managing the Fund’s investments in Stanley Lifestyle, Home Vista Decor (HomeLane), Prince Pipes and Fittings, Crompton Greaves Consumer, PNB Metlife Insurance, SSIPL Retail and NCDEX.
Vishal is an MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi and a B.Sc (Honours) in Physics from Delhi University.
Ms. Parita Ashar, CFA is Principal with OIJIF-MC and has been with OIJIF-MC since 2017. She has more than 9 years of experience across Private Equity Investing and Equity Research.
Prior to joining OIJIF-MC, she has worked at the research desk of the institutional equities division of Ambit Capital. She was responsible for leading research on key listed companies in the sectors of cement, metals and mining and aviation and has also covered telecom and media sectors in the past. Her research and recommendations have been based on long term competitive advantages of companies, with strong focus on accounting and corporate governance practices of companies.
Parita is a Chartered Accountant and a CFA Charter Holder.
Mr. Ajay Limaye, Senior Director, has 23 years of experience including 22 years in private equity and venture capital. He has been with OIJIF-MC since inception. He has established a full cycle track record of successfully managing various venture capital and private equity funds with a variety of investment strategies. His fund management experience spans listed equities, diversified private equity funds, venture capital funds, infrastructure fund and special situations fund. Ajay represents the Fund on the Boards of HBL Batteries Limited and Data Patterns Ltd (a 100% subsidiary of Indus Teqsite)
Before joining OIJIF-MC, Ajay has worked in the Private Equity team of Tata Capital. He is a CFA Charter Holder with prior qualification as a Production Engineer with MBA in Finance.
Deepankar Panigrahi is part of the Private Equity team at Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and involved in PE direct deals and co-investments covering different sectors primarily healthcare, infrastructure and technology with global mandate. Involved in all stages of private equity process from deal origination to execution to post investment management.
Prior experience in Investment banking and Quantitative Finance.
Deepankar earned a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and MBA from University of Cambridge. Deepankar is a CFA and FRM charter holder.
Mr. Saud Hilal Al Yahmadi currently works as Assistant Deputy President-People and Change, Oman Investment Authority, where he worked before as Director, Support. Saud holds Bachelor in Business Administration from Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1994. He joined Ministry of Civil Service as Training Specialist then promoted as Training & Qualification Manager before he obtains MBA in Strategic Management and HR Development from Cardiff Business School, University of Wales in 2000. In 2002 he Joined oil and gas exploration and production sector, then later he moved to aluminium industry heading talent management and leadership development functions. Total years of experience 26 years spent in different government, private and industrial sectors including investment. Mr. Saud Al Yahmadi has been a Board Director at OIJIF-MC since 2017 and recently appointed as Board Director at Oman Food Investment Company – Holding, in addition to chairing and sitting at other committees.
Sharifa works currently as an acting senior manager, Private Equity within Oman Investment Authority. She is responsible for overseeing OIA’s Direct Private Equity Portfolio of investments.
Sharifa joined OIA in 2002 and has broad experience in Private Equity and Real Estate. She has worked on identifying, selecting and making private equity and real estate fund investments. She also worked on post-acquisition asset management of direct investments and JVs.
Sharifa is a holder of a bachelor degree in Technology and Business Studies from University of Strathclyde in Scotland, UK. Through the years, she undertook various trainings to enhance her skills and knowledge.
Ms. Sushma Andhale is an Executive Assistant to CEO for OIJIF-MC. She has over 10 years of experience in handling secretarial work in Hospitality, Executive Search firms, Real Estate, and Beauty Industries.
Prior to joining OIJIF, she has worked with BollyGlow – Allana Group handled the segment of beauty care product finalization process. In her prior role to Allana Group, worked with Accord India, a retained executive search firm, and prior to this, worked with Amit Enterprises – Real Estate Company.
Sushma has completed her BCom and is a diploma holder in an Aviation & Hospitality from Cambridge University.
Mr. R K Sinha is currently Chief General Manager (Global Markets) at State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai. At present, he oversees Treasury operations of the Bank consisting of Investment portfolio, Money market, Equity, Private Equity & Forex operations of the Bank with a Portfolio of nearly Rs.13 lac Cr.
Prior to the current assignment, Mr Sinha managed the Financial Institution Relationship, Treasury Operations and ALM of SBI’s overseas operations.
Mr Sinha, a science graduate joined State bank of India as Probationary Officer in 1991 and has worked extensively in major banking verticals like Treasury, International Banking and Retail Banking, including Overseas assignments at SBI London.
Shri Sadhu Venkataramana Sastry, a graduate in Science from Government College, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer on 1 st October, 1985.
Shri Sastry has held various assignments in the Bank both in India and abroad during his career spanning 34 years.
After his initial banking stint in the North East at various Branches including as Branch Manager, he worked as a forex dealer between 1996 and 2003 in Mumbai.
He held the position of Chief Dealer at SBI Frankfurt and Chief Dealer at SBI London between 2003 and 2008.
As Deputy General Manager (Treasury & Investment) at the Bank’s Corporate Office in Mumbai, he was overseeing treasury operations of overseas offices between 2008 and 2011.
As General Manager (Network II) in Ahmedabad Circle he was leading retail operations of around 400 branches. As General Manager (Forex) at the Banks’ Corporate Office in Mumbai he was overseeing domestic forex operations.
Subsequent to his promotion as Chief General Manager, he was heading SBI DFHI Limited (a Standalone Primary Dealer) as MD & CEO from November 2017 till May 2020.
Presently he is Deputy Managing Director (Global Markets) in State Bank of India, Mumbai.
Mrs. Manju S. Bolakani joined the State Bank of India in 1985 as Probationary Officer. Mrs. Bolakani is a Science Graduate and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing). She has more than thirty-five years of banking experience.
She has held various positions both in India and overseas, across multiple functions.
Her previous assignments include Assistant General Manager (RM) at Corporate Accounts Group, VP & Head (Credit) at New York Branch, DGM (Executive Secretary) to Chairman and General Manager at Bangalore, etc. Presently, she is Chief General Manager of Commercial Clients Group looking after Eastern & Western India, which includes Branches spread in the States of West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra (other than Mumbai Metro), Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
Mr. Pushkar Jauhari, Director-Investments, joined OIJIF-MC in 2018. Prior to joining OIJIF-MC, he spent 9 years as SVP – Investments with Khazanah Nasional, Malaysian SWF, and as VP with TVS Capital Funds, a domestic Private Equity fund. He has participated in Private Equity, Buy-out, M&A’s and PIPE investments, actively involved in origination, diligences, portfolio management, exit/ part-exit particularly in Consumer & Retail, Pharma/ Healthcare and Financial Services.
Earlier, he worked 5 years with Fidelity Investments, where his last assignment was as an Equity Analyst, based in London, covering European Retail & Consumer companies. He started his career with McKinsey where he spent 3 years with the Corporate Finance & Strategy practice doing business research.
He has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, is a CFA charter holder, Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University.
Qais Al Kharusi leads the Global Equities portfolio at Oman Investment Authority. He was previously the senior portfolio manager for the Fixed Income and Multi Asset portfolios in The authority. Prior to these roles Qais was the CEO of Oman Brunei Investment Company a Private Equity JV between the Sultanates of Oman and Brunei.
Qais earned his bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Operations engineering from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor and his MBA with distinction from Columbia Business School – New York. Qais is a CFA, CAIA and FRM charter holder.
Mr. B Raghavendra Rao is currently Chief General Manager (Global Markets) at State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai. At present, he oversees Treasury operations of the Bank consisting of Investment portfolio, Money market, Equity, Private Equity & Forex operations of the Bank, with a Portfolio of nearly Rs.9.5 lac Cr.
Prior to the current assignment, Mr Rao worked as CEO of SBI London handling the Wholesale Banking Division of SBI UK operation consisting of Syndications ,Bilateral Credit, Trade and Investment departments and with a business portfolio of USD 12 Billion.
Mr Rao joined State bank of India as Probationary Officer in 1990 and has worked extensively in major banking verticals like Credit, Treasury, International Banking and Retail Banking, including Overseas assignments at SBI Frankfurt and SBI Maldives.
Mr Rao holds a Post Graduate degree in Engineering. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers.
Mr. Vikas Kumar is part of the Private Equity team at SGRF and currently has the overall responsibility for post-acquisition asset management of all the direct investments (other than real estate) and JVs.
Mr.Amrit Jaiswal, CFA is a Senior Associate with OIJIF-MC. He has ~7 years of prior experience in investment banking. He was awarded the “Top 40 Economic Times Young Leader 2019″ out of 26,000 professionals.
In his previous role at Edelweiss, he advised consumer and healthcare clients on Private Equity, M&A and IPO transactions. He was awarded “Edelweiss Emerging Leader 2019″. At his prior organization MAPE he was involved in handling the entire Private Equity and M&A transaction lifecycle including USD 80mn sale of Strides’ domestic pharma business to Eris Lifesciences. In his founding 3 years he worked at Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Division and Barclays Proprietary Desk where he performed 4 short assignments in the New York office.
He is an MBA from IIM Indore and an Information Technology engineer from NSIT, Delhi University. He is a CFA charter holder and has completed his FRM. He has completed an online certification course “Leading with Finance” program from Harvard University.
Mr. Kaustubh Jhaveri is a Senior Associate with OIJIF-MC. He has nearly 5 years of post-qualification experience across investment banking and strategy consulting.
Prior to joining OIJIF-MC, Kaustubh advised clients on M&A and fund-raise mandates in the Life Sciences and Healthcare verticals at PwC in India. In his prior role at global consulting firm EY-Parthenon, Kaustubh worked on commercial due diligence and strategy consulting mandates for marquee private equity firms and corporations across the Life Sciences, Healthcare and Consumer Products verticals. Kaustubh started his career as a research analyst with CRISIL, covering the Automobiles and Auto Components sectors.
He is an MBA from the Indian School of Business, a Certified Financial Risk Manager and is a CFA Level 3 candidate.
Mr. Kamlesh Dadlani is Vice President with OIJIF-MC and has been with OIJIF-MC since mid-2017. He has ~9 years of experience in investment banking and private equity.
Prior to joining OIJIF-MC, he worked with JM Financial Institutional Securities Limited and was responsible for execution of deals in private equity, M&A and public markets space across sectors. He was involved in financial advisory to KKR and Goldman Sachs on their exit from TVS Logistics Limited and financial advisory to Hotel Leelaventure Limited on sale of iconic hotel The Leela, Goa to Metdist group. Kamlesh has worked on investments in Stanley Lifestyles, Prince Pipes and Fittings, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals and DCB Bank. He is also actively involved in monitoring and devising exit strategy from each of these investments.
Kamlesh is an Electronics Engineer from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai and an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.
Mr. Bhavya Kapoor is a Principal with OIJIF-MC and has over 13 years of experience including 11 years in the private equity space.
Before joining OIJIF-MC, he worked with Motilal Oswal Private Equity looking at the financial services and consumer space and was responsible for deal sourcing, investing, monitoring and managing exits from portfolio companies. At Motilal Oswal, Bhavya was involved in investments in Intec Capital, IKF Finance and MAS Financial and partial exit from Parag Milk Foods. He represented the fund on the board of subsidiary of Intec Capital and as an observer on the boards of Intec Capital and IKF Finance. Prior to that he worked with Tata Capital predominantly in their private equity team as well as did a brief stint with the investment banking division. He also worked at Yes Bank in their financial restructurings division working on transactions with financially stressed companies.
Bhavya holds Bachelor in Commerce from University of Calcutta and earned a PGDM from Indian Institute of Management Indore.
Mr. Chavva has over 18 years of experience including 12 years in Private Equity.
Prior to joining OIJIF-MC, he was an Investment Director at TRG (The Rohatyn Group) and earlier with CVCI (Citi Venture Capital International) working at their London and Mumbai offices. In that role, Mr. Chavva has been actively involved through the various stages of investment cycle – originating and evaluating opportunities, monitoring and exiting the investment. He served on the boards of YOU Broadband, Sansera Engineering and SkyVision.
Prior to working in private equity, he worked as an Investment Banker with Citigroup in London. He has also worked with IBM in London and Trilogy in Austin (Texas).
Mr Chavva has an MBA from INSEAD, MS from University of Texas at Austin and B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Mr. Srinath S, is the Chief Executive Officer of Oman India Joint Investment Fund Management Company Pvt. Ltd (OIJIF – MC) he has led the fund investment business since its inception in early 2011. The Company manages two AIF registered Funds aggregating to approximately USD 350 million and invests in mid-market private equity growth opportunities in India.
Srinath has extensive industry and investment experience of over 25 years which includes over 20 years in private equity business across India and South East Asia.
Under his leadership OIJIF- MC has launched two funds and has successfully bagged commitments of about USD 240mn in Fund II. Prior to joining OIJIF – Manager, he led the private equity business for FirstRand Bank of South Africa in India and was head of private equity investing at Reliance Capital which managed its proprietary capital and Reliance India Power Fund (a JV with Temasek, Singapore).
He currently serves on the Board of NCDEX (National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange), Capital Small Finance Bank and Stanley Lifestyle Ltd. Over his career he served on various Boards across telecom industry, product and service companies, stock exchange, banks, Industrial companies and Consumer services Companies.
He has served on the Executive Council of India Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (IVCA) over two consecutive terms from 2016-2020. He continues to be part of the Regulatory Affairs Committee.
He is an Electronics and Communication Engineer from National Institute of Technology, Suratkhal, Karnataka and an MBA from Asian Institute of Management, Philippines.
Ms. Karishma Dalvi, is an in-house legal counsel for OIJIF-MC. She has over 10 years of experience in handling M&A, Private Equity Investment transactions and general corporate advisory.
Prior to joining OIJIF-MC, she has worked IDFC Alternatives Limited now Investcorp, where she advised and handled the private equity investment transactions, fund structuring, asset management business and commercial litigations. In her role prior to IDFC Alternatives limited, she worked with group corporate legal for large Indian conglomerate and with law firms where she handled transactions pertaining to M&A, Private Equity Investments, corporate finance and general corporate advisory.
Karishma has completed her BSL., LLB (hons.) from Indian Law Society Pune.
Mr. Kunal Rambhiya is Vice President, Finance and Administration at OIJIF-MC. He has over 8 years of experience in the field of Finance, Accounting, Fund Operations and Investor reporting.
Prior to joining OIJIF-MC, Kunal has worked with Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors for over 2 years in the Fund operations, Accounting and Investor reporting domain for the Debt funds in the Distressed Credit Space.
Kunal started his career with Nexus Venture Partners, an early-stage Venture Capital Fund, handling the Finance function for its Funds and the Asset Management Company.
He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce.
